I've actually been putting together loose plans to live like this. More-or-less having a bike for transport, a solar-battery powered tablet to work off of (income is art so as long as I can take and complete commissions I can afford to eat), living out of a tent but otherwise just riding around enjoying myself.
There are concerns, of course. First of all, if I get injured then I'm fucked. Second, if any of the gear that makes this possible gets ganked or damaged then it puts an immediate end to the whole thing, and I'll always need to be careful to plan any journey that takes me away from stores for food. Plus as an ausfag water is a concern too, shit ain't always easy to find. Plus realistically speaking I'd get pretty damn homesick over time I imagine, a nice comfy bed is one of those creature comforts that is sorely missed once you go without one for a while.
