>>1408877Former /out/fitter here, all the big manufacturers (Scarpa, Asolo, La Sportiva, etc) have a lightweight uninsulated b2 option for mixed use hiking/glacier/climbing. They tend to be referred to as guide boots, because they're obviously popular with mountain guides who have to be in their boots all day every day. The big thing is finding the one that fits your foot right. They'll take a long time to break in and if doesn't match your foot shape you'll be in agony. This is one of those times where you really do need to go to a store and start trying on boots, even if you eventually buy them online.
Garmont used to make a fantastic guide boot called the Dakota, but they discontinued it a few years ago. I have no idea why, they practically flew off my shelves.
