>>2108453You can get big fish with small tackle too. I've gotten some of my biggest fish on smaller lures. You won't catch only big fish, and not as often as small fish, but catching is fun no matter the size IMO. Avoid rigging entirely light test mono, and get some decent braid and use a leader. I fought a huge catfish for 50 minutes on a micro spinner and 4 lb test only to have him break me off and having stretched the line beyond all further usefulness, and instead turning it into a jumbled tangle.
