There was 3 of us at first but one of the members invited someone from a car forum along with us at the last second. Sadly this attempted out bro bailed after the first 15 minutes when it became apparent he was not prepared for an actual hike. As it would turn out, neither were we. I expected this to be exhausting, but not to the magnitude that it actually was. The week prior i did the grouse grind, a famous local hike gaining 850m altitude to prepare for this. But I did not account for 2 things, the added weight of my gear, and the steepness of this hike. Grouse grind is relatively easy when you think about it. It's mostly stairs, stairs give you more altitude in a shorter distance compared to a trail. The eaton lake trail starts off innocent enough until you get to the first bridge. It's simply a log over a creek with rushing white water under you and a gorgeous waterfall behind you. Sorry for the huge opening pic, got me a resizer.
