Pilot, flying A320s as a first officer. I know it's not the most /out/ career (outside of bush pilot etc), but my rota gives me blocks of 4 and 5 days off without having to take any holiday and I get free/discounted flights. So I get a lot of hiking done around Europe.
I share a small studio flat with my girlfriend so I've paid off most my loans. I'm planning to save a ton of money (google FIRE finances) and retire early in rural Norway (where my gf is from) or maybe run a small air service there for hikers if it makes financial sense.
