>>2097052Okay so that still begs the question that if the smaller subspecies could exist and not be threatened by other predators in the past, what has changed that makes it to where they can't do it anymore? The quality and number of our game species has deteriorated since we started our westward expansion of the US, and while I'm sure no one person can trace it back to what exactly went wrong, there's no denying the cascade effects that we at the time didn't even consider. There is no coexistence anymore, everything natural has to now pass through humanity's checks and balances... something so poorly designed when compared to nature's own.
