>>1633541Yes I do. Ice rods are incredibly easy because they are one piece blanks and only need 5 guides. The detail you put in doesn’t make a difference performance wise but sure can set you apart as far as customs go. Hardest part is the tip top guide, I usually use a normal titanium rec guide instead of a slide on style tip top. If it’s an ultralight you’ll need something like a fly tying bobbin for the thread because if you try and wrap it normally the tip will just bend and all your wraps slide right off. Building a bunch for my buddies this winter so I’m gunna play around with different wrap patterns, see what I can make work. This is the only ice rod I’ve made so far
