The wild ground cherries are starting to get ripe in this area. Most are falling off into their husk before they are fully ripe so they will need to be ripened off the plant for a week or so before I use them. I'm considering drying them like raisins in my dehydrator. They taste a whole lot sweeter and more fruity than the black nightshades. They are about the same difficulty to grow, which isn't difficult at all. I'll probably switch out the black nightshades for these next season.
