People like to shit on it because they built a carriage road up it in 186,1 that fat people drive up now, but this place is awesome. As a kid the annual trip up Mt Washington was like traveling to another planet, and none of my friends knew what it was all about. When I was 5 I almost blew off the mountain.
As an adult I've hiked up and done overnights and whatnot and still love it. It is annoying to hike for two days only to have some granny cut you in line for a hot dog. But oh well.
