>>210185Yeah, the bamboo is lighter and has flex but I'm not sure that flex is better. The main reason I want to use notched 2X's is so I could just set them in place and quickly clamp them down (and then just as quickly take it apart). It took about 30 minutes to tie the hulls together & make sure they were parallel and about 15 to take 'em apart. Plus I was thinking about flooring the top to create more standing room and make it less of an acrobatic experience when moving between canoes.
