Only tools you need are a saw, some screws (or even better smallish bolts and nuts), a drill. Perhaps some sand paper to round of sawn edges.
Protip: on a piece of paper draw one or several prototypes before you start hacking away at those poor pipes. Planning is half the work. And to avoid getting fucked take a look at what diameter pipe you can get in the local hardware shop (where I assume you will do you r shopping).
It is so simple that you don't need a guide. If you do you will struggle with using a saw anyway.
