When I go hiking I always take dried egg and salami for breakfast. Just put a little water in the pan and mix the powder in, when the egg is mostly cooked add sliced salami to warm it. Nom nom nom nom.
I tend to take snacks for during the day, peanut butter works well.
For dinner I nearly always take parboiled rice, the kind that only needs 5 minutes boiling to finish and can be eaten without cooking if needed. Throw in some sauce and tinned meat/salami/jerky. I like spicy sauces, strong flavour, low weight. Premade pancake mix with syrup is also nice. I tend to take a few cooked at home meals for the first few days as I get tired of all the dried package shit.
