/out/ing kits should be centered on the activity and the assumed risks. Tourniquets are always good to have and take up like no space or weight. Compressed gauze and an ace wrap will get you the rest of the way.
Splints and C-collars or whatever are nice if you’re building with a bunch of suicidals or whatever but it all depends on the activity.
Match meds to the people and the place (allergies, environmental concerns etc)
Comforts are nice (moleskin, neosporin, tweezers, more baby wipes etc)
You shouldn’t have to get to the point where you’re using sugar and salt or any weird home remedies, just take a STOP THE BLEED class from the Red Cross and BLS if you’re curious. Knowledge is your biggest boon when everything goes tits up.
