I've been homeless in Las Vegas, NV for a week now, and I think I'm doing pretty well for myself. I have learned where all the shelters are, and what services are offered, as well as finding out where various charity giveaways are. It's not easy, but I'm pretty okay with it. I was raised with a lot of survival skills and in a lot of ways I feel like I have been preparing for this my whole life.
I will only be out here for a couple of months and then I'm moving up to Oregon with some people I know, but if you'd like to help me out by sending money to my paypal (address is in the email field) I'd be grateful. I have a paypal debit card so I can use the balance to buy things. I'd only really use it on food or to improve my gear, but I'm not in dire straits, as far as homelessness goes.
In anycase, please share your own experiences, advice and resources regarding backpacking/camping on the streets, and I'll post what I can (various info thread pics and such).

>My laptop was a christmas gift and more important to me than my life. I will fight a crackhead to the death over it if need be, but I keep it in my locking suitcase that I sleep on.
