>>>/diy/1421980>200 sqm of usable space>chickens + growing their feedsThat amount of space would be used entirely by the chickens to roam in. You could boarder it with fruiting plants that can give them cover and seasonal foods. The number of chickens will determine how viable this will be. If you only want eggs and only need 1-2 a day then 3-4 laying hens will be what you want. They are omnivorous and can eat most kitchen scraps. For seasonal fruiting plants, you can use blackberries/raspberries (takes 2 years to start producing fruit), apple trees (5 years before first fruiting then up to total 8 years for good harvests), blueberries (only if it is cold enough in your area), and so on. they can give shade, protection from birds-of-prey, and of course offer food for you and the chickens. Stuff like the blackberries and grapes will attract Japanese beetles which the chickens love to eat.
>feral catsGet a live trap, like a, "Have A Hart" brand trap. The ones with only 1 door open are best, though the double door ones can have one door closed. Trap all the cats and take them to animal control/human society/peta/whoever does that in your area. Leave them in the trap for transport, but use bungee cords to help hold the trap doors down as a bumpy ride can sometimes dislodge them. Repeat until all cats are gone. I had to do that on my farm every year. So far, I've take something like 30ish feral and stray cats off in the past 2 years.
If people are not responsible for their pets then the pet has no business roaming free. They destroy the local ecosystem.
