Hey guys, any recommendations for long distance walks this summer? We've done the Cumbria Way (good but very wet), Hadrian's Wall Path (very good) and the West Highland Way (very good also). We'll have about a week to do it, including traveling time, but don't need to worry much about public transport, so we can't really do much over 100 miles. Obviously that's not a huge amount, and most of the well known trails are longer than that, so our options are either a shorter, less well known one, or a section of a longer trail eg Pennine Way or Offa's Dyke. If we wanted to do the rest, we'd almost certainly have to wait at least another year (summer 2016). If anyone has any personal favourite trails of about 100 miles, I'd be interested in hearing, or if anyone's done a longer walk with a large gap. We're specifically considering the South Downs Way, which seems to come up a lot when searching for the best walks, but we've enjoyed the more mountainous paths we've done, as well as the relative remoteness of all three, and it seems the South Downs doesn't really fit either of these criteria. Anyone here done it? If not that it might well be the Great Glen Way or East Highland Way, or a section of the South West Coastal Path as we have family near there.
Sorry for the rambling post, basically any input on choosing a British path would be appreciated.
