>>2200098oh I'm well aware of the asbestos issue. my new mask is coming with one of those polish filters that fit 40mm gost threads and 40mm nato threads so that should bring me i to the 21st century, but for now I just check allmy filters by tapping them upside down over a sheet of paper to make sure no particulate is coming out, and only wear it when poison or particulate inhalation is a concearn. I have long hair so gasmasks are a real pain to put on and take off more than needed anyways. also protip for anyome with long hair; get one of those neck gaiters/ tube scarfs to put your hair up like a do-rag before pulling especialy soviet/izzy style masks on, it saves you from a whole lot of hair pulling. if this thread is up in a few days I should be able to take a few pics from a trip I have planned
