That pack broke as intended. Poor consolation I know but that's why it looks like it was "cut with a knife". That is more proof that the girl crying about the tear has never used gear to failure before and thus cannot ID this aspect of ripstop. If they'd ever had experience with a blowout they would know this, and clearly that is not the case. That fabric is thinner than my pants are.
Osprey a might be okay among the dead bird crowd but I prefer something I can not over spend for the same design via any of the local variants. For 400 Aud I can get a very strong but slightly heavier breakout.
