Great camera OP, almost the best one for /out/doors. The ultimate one though would be the Canon PowerShot D20.
Though I myself simply carry pic related, a good old Pentax MX, fully mechanical operation and thus doesn't require batteries, shooting some good old B&W film, with a 28mm f2 lens.
If you want a good /out/doors film camera, this is the one to get.
