>>2393313You can go even crazier and drop a bottom rig off the back for catfish and drag it around with you, but I would only do one or the other, and not both. If you can find a good deal, a kayak is worth it. I got the one I'm in on clearance for just under $200 a few years ago. It's only a 10 footer, as is my paddleboard. I use the paddleboard more often for travelling unless I'm field testing some new addition on a local lake. The kayak was a much easier starter though. When I first got the paddleboard, all it was was the board and paddle, and I have added to it for years. It's basically another kayak now, but one I can stand on, which is advantageous in many ways. I got the yak years later, and it already had rod holders, and everything I need. It's got scupper holes right beneath the seat, so I would end up with a wet ass almost every trip. Even scupper plugs didn't really help. I found these beach chairs on Amazon, sold by the pair, and they were skinny enough to fit on both the board and in the kayak, so no more wet ass now. Reposting an old paddleboard pic for posterity.
