>>265718>Live in virginia >can literally walk to the AT>Can be seen out my back door >Spend 90% of hikes on AT or right off it Fucking LOVE virginia, it's too ritzy and expensive for me to keep living here (and Northern VA is getting WAY to developed) but jesus we have a god-tier state for outdoors on the east coast. Weather hardly gets away from "nice", we've got mountains and plains, rivers and streams (Seriously if you died of dehydration here I would seriously question the presence of a brainstem)
It's just such a damn fine state, it's the south without being over-redneck, but its north enough to still have a good time. We're rich as all hell but like to think we're country (it's not as bad of a dynamic as you'd think) and damn we're classy (Virginia is a place for aristocrats and plantation owners, not hillbillys! ((But we also have our fair share of them!))
Fuck, I love my home. I love it so much.
Pic semi-related, my derkadermobile in the Virginia hills, that road actually leads up to the AT where there is a hikers hostile.
