I do have that 7' Ugly Stik combo with 40lb braid, and then I could probably use my 6'6" MH rod with the President 35 and 30lb braid. I had one more big rod I grabbed to try at the pier, a 7' Shakespeare catfish combo with 40lb braid as well but I gave that one to my little bro.
And I know nobody uses spinners, but I have a feeling they could be good for saltwater. Dat vibration and flashing in the stirred up water of the inlet would totally get their attention.
