>>523903>equilibrium to shift to the left>>523923Well said. Again, GMOs do pose a potential threat to native species. However GMOs are GREAT in that they are feeding pretty much the whole world, and have been doing so since the 1990s.
You like Non-GMO food? What do you think is needed to ensure non-GMO food is grown economically? Outsourcing, import and export of ag commodities, and lots and lots of pesticides and herbicides. Are pesticide residues in your a food a HUGE concern? Not really, simply washing fruits and vegs removes most of the residue. Is pesticide use a HUGE concern for the soil, water, ecosystem? Yes. What do you prefer, to eat or have a clean environment? Ideally both, that's the problem.
>>523940You don't know how studies on rats and and dosage figures are extrapolated into a human model do you? Please post the link to the peer-reviewed article you are discussing. May I suggest the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry?
>>523948Oh there you are. So you are afraid of GMOs because a vegan web article says so? That is NOT a peer-reviewed article. How old are you? I'm willing to bet you, like most people under 30, have been eating GMOs all your life. Unless you grow 100% of your food of course, in which case, tell me how well your farming operation is doing without pesticides and herbicides.
