>>1936142Your best way of collecting ticks is probably by flagging them. Pic related, literally just drag a fabric sheet about then pick the ticks off.
Try around your gran's animal pastures, particularly if she has cows or sheep, or otherwise long grass near footpaths or wildlife hotspots.
You probably won't get many this year though at least in the northern hemisphere, ticks become way less active over winter.
They won't be attracted to cold blood at all. Heat, movement and CO2 make them "quest" to find a host, but ticks never move a long way, generally they're ambushers that sit and wait for something to brush up on them, then they'll latch on. That's why you're better off flagging for them.
>>1930600>scaredFuck you. I've pulled ticks off my scalp, it feels like you're tearing out part of your skull. Ticks are awful and I wish to wipe them from the face of the earth.
>>1931484>cats fuck up entire ecosystemsCongrats, that's the #1 reason not to get one. They don't preferentially go after vermin, they like easier targets- so if your cat's killing mice regularly that means everything else in a mile radius is already dead.
