I had finished chopping one set of stakes so I tried to throw the machete down and stick it blade first into the ground (the ground was very soft due to an excess amount of rain at that time), the plan was that I would stick the machete into the ground and then gather up all the stakes I had chopped and put them in a pile.
The machete ricocheted off the ground, spun around edge first, and chopped about half an inch into my thumb. My bone stopped the blade and it was very painful. These pics are after I had cleaned the wound up and applied superglue to hold the skin together and keep it from bleeding so much.
