That was asking for it. Though of course people think 'this batoning shit is horrible' rather than evaluate their choice of stupid knives.
I perhaps wouldn't use the hand-made knife from a reputable craftsman in pic related for batoning if I had any alternative. But that's the kind of a tool that is well suited for batoning kindle. It is very easy to chop a small piece of wood into long match-sized sticks.
