No asparagus so I substituted it for green beans and also got some of those stringy enoki mushrooms. Two things I'd change for next time would be to use only a small amount of olive oil instead of vegetable oil and try with a chicken stock cube instead of beef stock. Also had the shitty gas canister stove crap out halfway through so could only get it just bubbling. Expect the pot to need a good scrubbing after you put the cheese in. I'd say go for it, certainly more than I'd typically try doing while camping but it wasn't difficult.
