>>2745504Yeah tenkara is goofy fun i made one out of a old fly rod blank, use it a lot on the feather for bait. for fly setup get a cheap combo and spend the extra $ on good fly line. decent enough fly line will cost $60-80 and will be great improvement over cheap combo package line.
I use short rod 5' for small creek and tight river spot. i would check out thrift stores for older rods. easy to modify old trout rod into creek fly rods an sometime can find old fly reel for cheap.
