Also, i've seen the gun owning side happily storm the gardening thread and other threads if someone mentions their liberal views on pest control or killing animals or anything. They act condescending and use names (eg. like how we're referring to anyone left of centre as a hippie - I know 60 year old redneck cattle graizers who are well right wing but /out/ would call hippies). It equates to liberals coming into gun threads sperging out. Both sides do it and both sides should just stop trying to troll or win an unwinable argument.
The point of the matter is, each side has opinions, each side spews shit all over /out/ trying to belittle the other. It'd be best if we just acknowledge difference of opinion without trying to act so high and mighty about it.
