I like the striker on the first one and it shoots gobs of hot metal while the firesteel shoots lots of sparks. They both have their place. The Swedish firesteel seems to be longer lasting.
If you use the striker for the orange one on the Swedish one it also shoots molten gobs of hot metal. If I didn't know better I'd say the Swedish firesteel striker is left-handed because it works almost like the orange striker when held in the left hand. Or perhaps I just got a dud striker.
