So trying to work this garden. Was massively overgrown and we're slowly pulling out the weeds. The top layer of soil is dry and flaky but when we dig deep it gets loamier and there's a fair amount of worms and other critters. Also riddled with the roots of trees from the corners.
What to do? Deweed everything, get a new layer of topsoil and then plant? What would be feasible given the roots criss crossing the entire garden if anything? We live in a temperate environment.
