Mustard seed ready to harvest! This is all from a single grain of bulk grocery store mustard seed. I usually throw down a bunch to eat the greens and then leave a few to seed but this year I've collected a lot more garlic mustard seeds so I just left the one, but you can see how many freaking seeds you get off just one plant. I encourage everyone with a garden who likes mustard to try because the taste of mustard made with fresh seeds is incomparable.
And if you don't know how to make your own mustard, basically grind it to the consistency you like, mix it with vinegar, salt and water to your taste, put it in a sterile jar and you're done. Add some turmeric in there if you like to make it pretty and cause it's good for you. You'll never waste money on store mustard again.
