>>1953855I have used several different hand helds and several headlamps. I always keep two headlamps on my helmet one for main use and one for back up should something happen to the main one. I also keep two back up headlamps in my pack as well as a couple hand helds. Of course always have spare batteries for all light sources.
I can't think of anything much worse then getting a few hundred feet underground and then losing light. It would probably be a death sentence in vertical environments.
