Some buddy of mine at a backpacking shop recommended a bead head nymph of some sort and I was skeptical but I caught 4 fish off four consecutive casts that were all roughly that size. I also caught a smallmouth that same day.
The second pic is my buddy. He was a vegan the week earlier and I made him catch his own damn fish and then taught him to clean it. He ain't a vegan no more.
