Success. It's over 100Freedom in vegas and my grass is still alive. middle part is two seasons old, dead stuff is this season. it actually turned to seed before it died, so i mostly have straw instead of dead grass roots. healthier than first glance for sure. filled in the edges of the retaining walls with composted manure to properly grade the grass area, much easier to run over with a reel mower now (or will, once i mow).
i now know how to terraform in vegas.

>allow a garden/herb section of my backyard to grow additional tall fescue grass seed, went to seed and died. free seed, bitches

and now i just break up my tree trimmings around 7 in the evening while smoking a cig and getting the blood moving around the thc i will inhale. set up the trimmings in my grass-expansion area, add additional bag after bag of composted manure, see you next spring.
