I just finished installing everything I have for this 15-tray shelving unit. This took way WAY longer than I expected it would. Now I need to bring in a ton of soil, spoon it into the trays and start planting. I really like the LED shop lights over the fluorescent shop lights. They look better and use less than half the energy.
8, 4-feet long LED shop lights: 336watts
4, 4-feet long fluorescent shop lights: 360watts
696watts total right now.
I still want to replace the fluro lights with LED and get 3 heat mats. Next season I should have everything and the entire unit should be about 825watts (504watts for LED lights and 321watts for heat mats.) That more than doubles my electric bill so I'll be switching to my 32watt netbook when the seedlings start.
