Shame about the stigma because it's the perfect "tutorial" crop - sprouts/grows extremely fast, small space requirement relative to size, has a wide tolerance for temp/humidity, and the many different strains give you a practical understanding of genotypes and cloning . Taught me a lot about minimalist agriculture since the entire water/light/aeration setup can be compacted to a closet or cabinet.
