Trying to put together a very easy overnight trip for next weekend to get back into the swing of things this year.
Looking at something like this route
http://www.walkingenglishman.com/lakes48.html But want to extend it into an overnighter. Preferably doing most of the walking on day 1 and walking maybe an hour back to a pick up point the next morning.
Anyone familiar with the area and can point out any potential wild camping spots? It doesn't look like there are many at all from a look at Panoramio photos and aerial views. Holme Fell looks nearly impossible to camp on because of rocks and uneven ground everywhere, and Tarn Hows is hard to tell, it may be too wet anywhere near it and away from a footpath.
Not even dead set on this area, would be up for anything else in the bottom half of the Lakes if anyone has suggestions for something on the easy side?
