It's a waste too, most wind farms do not permit anyone on the property because its a liability, and no other structures are built near them. Wind farms continue to require resources after they've been built. Virtually all modern wind farms have batteries to account for intermittency, and which require lead alloys (intensive mining), or increasingly LID (even worse), both have limited lives. The longevity of turbines is only about 10-15 years. They would need continually replaced, in addition to regular maintenance. The upkeep of this shit tier source is worse than whatever minute impact mining uranium has.
