>>1320171These are my favourites, though I've only had experience with Meindl Dovre GTXs and wellingtons. I wear them nearly everyday and have no problems so long as I keep them waxed. I think they feel much better and more stable walking on loose rocks and mud than Meindls and wellies. And so long as they're waxed I've worn them in water up to about an inch from their tops for over an hour and had no problems. I found them easier to walk with in a river, not slipping as much and feeling more secure and stable finding my footing compared to wellingtons. They're cooler even wearing two pairs of socks and breath better than the Meindls and wellies, though I've had no problems with them in the winter. I don't know about wearing them in a desert or somewhere tropical though. I personally have found they hold up well in heather, gorse and brambles, though I don't walk a lot through those.
By far my favourite boots, would recommend, though they are expensive and did take a bit of getting used to walking in them.
Not the best picture, I'll see about getting a better one later if anybody is interested.
