>>2158256My son turned four this year and we did our first overnight innatent in the backyard. Fire pit, s'mores, the whole nine as part of his Birthday. Ive done the bqckyard thing a couple times now, and would be confident taking him real camping at this point, but havent had the opportunity yet. I wouldnt drag him deep innawoodz yet, but he's totally ready for a day at the state park, a trip out on the kayak, and a night in a campsite.
What I struggle with is his attention span when /out/ for example, we are NOT ready for fishing yet, tried it, he got bored and was over it in about 15 minutes.
That said, we've been hiking together since he was small enough for the carrier. Pic related
