pic is an old yellow birch and some balsam fir in the background. midcoast maine here. mostly spruce and balsam fir. in my particular bit of woods i maintain, there are also a lot of poplar and several types of birch. a small patch of beech, that remarkably doesnt have beech bark disease. some ash. a few maples scattered around. mostly red, but some sugar.
