I have had the nickname "Otter" for proverbial years since i was a toddler sc/out/. That started because while on a school trip i found a otter clan and i played with them over whatever bullshit the trip was about. My fellow classmates called me otter to make fun of me, stuck ever since.
"Where the "Cross" came from is a movie character referance that i felt fit perfectly and his characters name happened to be "Cross Otter". And is very /out/ related. Kudos to the anon who can name the movie.
I only used it once, while working as a camp councilor.
