Plant micro-clover instead of grass, is it very resilient and inject nutrients into the floor. Is not even so much expensier than grass and invasive as fuck, so you can mix them at the beginning and it will take over over time.
As a nice side effect if you dont cut it for a while you will end with a nice flower garden full of bees instead of an unrulled grass jungle.
