My truck's OBDII adapter speaks canbus.
Sled's connector isn't exactly a hard one to find. Bought a couple of those connectors, wired it up to my truck's adapter. Plugged it in. It worked.... now have a working data connection between my computer and my sled's communication bus.
Started asking questions online... snowmobile boards, technical/engineering forums... Anyone have experience reverse-engineering a vehicle comm protocol? Do these log files look like a standard?
A few weeks later I got a letter from Poo (not the dealer, but the manufacturer) saying that my warranty was void due to "evidence of my actions", or something similar. Not quite a cease-and-desist, but a lot of legalese saying anything that happened was no longer covered.
I guess the moral of the story... send private messages, rather than posting to the internet.
