Weekend makes parking a lot trickier.
I would have 2-3 trails near each other with gps coordinates ready to go and if parking isn't available, be ready to go somewhere else.
Where do you need permitted parking in the sods?

Are you camping innawoods or just day use? Some parking areas they don't want you staying overnight.
There's certainly less crowded trails, but then the trade-off is that the trails are barely maintained and in a very difficult condition to walk on sometimes.
Most parking would be atop Spruce Knob I guess.
I would suggest maybe leaving one car at the lumberjack trailhead:
38.70989, -79.5432
then driving up to spruce knob and parking other cars there then hiking from the huckleberry trail over to high meadows and finishing up at the lumberjack trail head and then go collect your other car(s) at spruce knob
Should be a bit less crowded than seneca creek trail itself
I've honestly never seen someone hiking in WV with a gun, but then maybe I am just there at the wrong time.
