>>2006505Maybe if the Girl Scouts got their act together so many girls wouldn’t join the BSA. I was in Girl Scouts up until the Junior level and I always thought the BSA was so much better. We barely did any volunteer work and never learned any useful skills, besides maybe counting change and getting people’s attention. I almost wished I was a Boy Scout instead.
Both institutions need to return to the way things were, for each other’s sake. The idea of starting independent, local groups is a great idea, and it would lessen girls’ want of joining the other side.
