I've made sewing threads on /out/ before - don't usually get very far. Maybe with the influx of shitposters lately it'll improve... bah, who am I kidding. I think there's about 3 people who post on /out/ that actually go /out/side.
Spent about $100 on a basic machine a few years ago... have to say it's been one of my better purchases.
Bought it with the intention of being able to repair the equipment I wreck (pants mostly), turns out it's pretty nice for building some stuff too (tool wraps, containers for misc odds/ends).
