>>2762641All you're doing is whining and bitching about something that was already done. You are never going to change a damn thing by being a low info whining brat zoomer. And you aren't going to get very far in life if you can't read anything. The way to regenerate the surviving old growth in the US (75% of which is in the inland western US not the coastal PNW or the NE), is by actively speeding up the process of afforestation, and speeding up recovery in heavily disturbed forests. Humans are everywhere now, like an infestation on the earth, and by and large the absolute majority of them are low info retards who do more damage than help or they don't give a fuck and burn down 500 sq miles of forest (that would naturally take 500 years to fully regenerate on its own without help).
The solution to human problems, is also humans. People who are high info, been on the ground, and are willing and able to try and help speed up the recovery process. The majority (more than 90%) of the surviving old growth in the US is on public land, which means you can go out and do guerilla work and investigation easily. For the majority of the eastern US you either have to trespass on other peoples or corporations land to do that, or you have to be a land owner and be a steward of that land and leave it alone for you entire lifetime and your child's (and grandchilds') entire lifetime to let it become old growth (multi-generational process of teaching and learning).
Some of the hippie tree huggers that save single ancient trees from big corp loggers are respectable but they actually have done nothing to save or help the rest of the forest (specifically areas that can still be saved and are outside of big corp jurisdiction).
