I studied North American Archeology and you see identical bows to the Eastern Composite among western tribes in and around the Rockies (Sheepeater Shoshone are famous for this) where they use the horns of bighorn sheep with sinew and hide glue. Given how recent the invention of the composite bow is (compared to bows in general), I'm curious whether horn bows were a technology that migrated across Beringia or if it evolved independently and converged due to environmental pressures.
